Emo vs Gay

Ever wonder why emo is mistakenly taken as being gay? Well in my own opinion, it's because emo boys wear make-up which is even darker and more noticeable than those ordinary girls. What with those thick eyeliners, weird eye shadows applied in a weird way and elaborate mascara on their lashes paired with a hairstyle which is ornately sported after hours of styling (I think) - who would not doubt his gender? haha!
